For more than 30 years, Currie has been giving voice to people and organisations that sustain life on our planet.
We are fully committed to playing our part in a sustainable future. A fairer, kinder future for all. And we've been on this journey for some time.
At Currie, we recognise that the biggest barrier to a better tomorrow is not physical or technological in nature, but social. We understand that, to enact change, there is nothing more important than connecting and influencing people.
We are a team of social thinkers, partnership builders and storytellers. Our people come from a variety of disciplines, allowing us to provide unique insight to clients and solve complex problems socially.
Every day we connect clients, stakeholders and communities in conversations about a better way forward.
Currie is a certified B Corporation, a participant in the United Nations Global Compact, and a member of the Public Relations Global Network. We have won multiple global awards for our influential sustainability work.
Our biggest impact is achieved through our clients, the ones who aren't afraid to start difficult conversations about complex challenges we solve together.
If our clients are changing things for the better, it only makes sense that we do too.
We align the work that we do to the Sustainable Development Goals, prioritising contributions to six key goals to guide our positive impact.
We gift 5% of our consulting time as pro bono to those in need, and have a goal to ensure 80% of our revenue comes from for-purpose work. Our work supports sustainable food production, a transition to a circular economy and to a zero-carbon energy system.
Currie has set near and long-term science-based emissions reduction targets with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). We are one of only 6 companies in Australia who have had our targets validated.
The SBTi has approved Currie’s near-term science-based emissions reduction target of 1.5°C by 2030, and verified our net-zero science-based target by 2050. We have committed to reducing our scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year, and to measure and reduce our scope 3 emissions. We have also committed to reaching net-zero by 2050 by reducing scope 1+2+3 emissions 90% by 2050 from a 2022 base year.
Our most recent B Corp recertification in 2023 saw us achieve a record high score of 114.0, significantly higher than the median score of 50.9.
Our commitment to use the power of business for good, and what we've achieved along the way, are clearly articulated in our sustainability reports.
Currie partners with people and organisations who have a mission to improve our food, our land and our planet.
We find partners that will gain the most from our unique set skills and expertise, and help them deliver initiatives that drive positive progress for our planet.
Our partnerships include non-profit partners to whom we gift 5% of our consulting time. These partnerships empower people to feed themselves, regenerate nature and live better lives.
